Some curable: others manageable , if you follow your doctors advice , most of sliding hernias will not have symptoms , should be left alone with out surgery , only para esophageal type where only stomach herniates through require urgent repair as it may strangulate stomach , Most of time GERD s may not have hiatus hernia at all .
