I prefer Aveeno moisturizing body wash to treat heat rash. Mild salicylic body wash can be used to sooth heat rash though.

Salicylic acid body wash is not used for heat rash. Avoiding overheating may be all you need to do for mild heat rash. Once skin is cool, heat rash tends to clear quickly. For more severe forms you can use calamine to sooth itching, anhydrous lanolin to prevent duct blockage and stop new lesions from forming. Topical steroids can be used for the most serious cases.
