If you had an event in that 10 hour test and the abnormal rhythm was recorded, it can confirm (rule in) the diagnosis. However, if you had an event but the abnormal rhythm was not detected, the suspected rhythm abnormality can't be ruled out.

Hard to predict what your 10 hrs will reveal, but an ambulatory EEG over 72-96 hrs will be far more definitive and allows flexibility of activity. Be proactive and ask what has been revealed so far, as you may already have recorded diagnostic results. Until seizures ruled out, avoid driving, activities at heights, use of power equipment, bathing or swimming alone.
