I take amitriptyline for functional dyspepsia/ibs, it worked well at 5mg for 3 weeks then it stopped working, went up to 10mg worked for a week then stopped and now same with 15mg. my main symptom is lower abdominal burning. do i ask my doc to go up?

15 mg is still a low dose and dose can be increased if needed provided it is effective.

Tell your docs what your symptoms are and let them decide what the next step would be. Increasing the current dose would be one of the options.
