Very good evening doctors. i have not had a bowel movement in over 4 days..since last wednesday today is sunday evening. i do not feel ill. would you please have any suggestions? how would i know if i have fecal impaction or bowel obstruction?

Fecal impaction is diagnosed by a rectal exam so without that cant say that you have it. Int. Obst causes bloating, nausea/vomiting and abd. pain and absence of passing gas. You dont have that. Take a strong laxative like Miralax and if you still dont have a BM pl see your MD. Hope you do well
