Can lexapro help with abdominal pain? i've had it for 7+ weeks on and off and my doctor recommended i take this due to anxiety. i've had many tests and all negative. can stress / anxiety cause this much and long abdominal discomfort? thanks?

You need a thorough medical history and physical exam to rule out a physical problem first. Lexapro only works if the abdominal pain is not caused by a structural problem in the abdomen. In that case, your pain is called a psychosomatic symptom.
