You : You should give it a try and see if this method helps you reduce your symptoms of depression. There are no known adverse interactions from combining acupuncture and lexapro (escitalopram).

Hello. : Hello. Yes, as a psychiatrist who practices medical acupuncture I am amazed at how much benefit it can provide. I am also a psychotherapist. I am so glad that I have acupuncture to offer my patients. It is non-invasive, safe and effective. Acupuncture has been practiced for thousands of years in china and is also used throughout much of europe. It is a required course in many medical schools in france and germany. In the United States, physicians were slow to catch on. Thanks to the work of the helms medical institute, an increasing number of doctors in the United States are becoming certified and trained in this ancient form of medicine. It incorporates physical, emotional and spiritual healing. It augments western medical treatments very well. There are chinese scalp acupuncture , auricular (ear) acupuncture, and energy moving treatments that can be very useful for anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder, depression and other emotional problems.
