Not being able to see/touch/examine the line you are describing means that we can't tell you if it is normal or not. Your Dentist has 4 years of intensive study o help answer your question. If you would like a 2nd opinion, see a specialist Oral Surgeon, Oral Pathologist, or Otolaryngologist.

If your wisdom is not fully erupted, a white area is normal if you bite on your gum in that area. This is called a KERATOSIS from trauma. Also a white lesion called a LEUKOPLAKIA could be present which is precancerous. See your dentist for an exam to see if tooth should be extracted or for a biopsy.
