You can drink coffee with light to moderate caffeine when receiving anti-hypertensive medication(s). There is no absolute contraindication and benefit or risk of mild to moderate caffeine intake in hypertensive patients is still controversial. As long as your blood pressure is under control, you can enjoy your coffee.

It is safe to drink a cup of coffee if you take metoprolol also. The easiest to avoid contrasting their effects would be to drink decaf.
