Typical treatment for Sinusitis which causes sinus headaches is not prednisone, but warm saline nasal washes, nasal decongestants and occasionally antibiotics. Prednisone may help open bronchial nasal passages, but does not typically open nasal passages. In addition, any steroid may interfere with the body's immune response to infection.
