I was woken up with moderate side abdo pain. the pain lasted 1 day and was worse with movement then stopped. it has now returned is more central bellybutton and is uncomfortable but manageable. do i need to see a gp or wait and see?

It seems not an acute abdominal pain, more consistent with an abdominal wall pain. You can observe the pain for now, only seeking urgent medical care if nausea/vomit and fever develop. If there is no apparent contraindication, you can take Ibuprofen 200 mg x 3 tablets with full stomach. If the pain is from abdominal wall, you should feel significant relief in one hour.
