After sitting at my desk when i get up i can hardly walk due to the excruciating pain in the middle of my upper thigh. like a sharp pain in my bone. not sure who to see. my gp, a physiotherapist. all i know it prevents normal movement and is sore.

GP: Would be the best place to start out as the differential diagnosis is quite large.

GP: Either or although generally the GP can order a range of tests to make the diagnosis and then if needed/appropriate arrange physiotherapy. Can be done the other way but in some countries the physiotherapists have more restrictions on tests they can order
