Hi i have a relative that is 91 and she has broken her hip she has very bad mobility before this can you tell me if they would operate and why are they asking for a dnr response?

Details will be needed, but usually decision has to do with goals, in her case she does not seem likely to regain walking ability versus taking the risk for surgery, in her case she might not survive the surgery. Her quality of life will suffer regardless as she is likely to be bed-bound going forward. A DNR will protect her from aggressive resuscitation measures unlikely to add meaningful time.
