I was face to face distance with a smoker for around 10 seconds and they were exhaling so i got the smoke all over me. will this increase my lung cancer risk long term? why is second hand smoke so much worse than pollution?

No worries. Your one instance of possibly inhaling second hand smoke will have zero influence on your cancer risk.

No, a fight or flight reaction is likely, an isolated incident would not increase your cancer risk, it has been shown in study that smoke from few cigarettes can cause more air pollution than a diesel car exhaust, not applicable in your case as it was a rather isolated episode.

What you described will not affect your risk of cancer. You can reduce your risk of cancer by adopting healthy habits: Eat a mostly vegetarian diet, avoid alcohol, tobacco and street drugs, avoid excessive exposure to sun, get HPV vaccine, exercise 30 minutes each day, drink enough water so your urine is mostly colorless.
