You need a physical covid test to be done by a lab or 'rapid' self test. It also depends on the entity wanting it- whether they need a physical too which cant be done by a video visit

Make sure you first understand from your employer what a clearance entails, for some tests are needed, for others access to previous tests and history while others request a physical exam. Your primary care doc remains your best resource.
