A member asked:

Can you have surgery for cervical foraminal stenosis after having cervical fusion/3 levels? if so, how soon after the fusion surgery? severe right and moderate left c5-c6 foraminal stenosis. fusion was c4-5, 5-6, 6-7. shoulder pain and arm weakness?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Your multi-level cervical spondylosis might well be progressing, but not clear whether your neck is stable and if the fusion sites are solid or incompletely fused. Would certainly have a spine surgeon evaluate this entire picture. Surgery is indeed theoretically possible, but might not be the best approach. Not feasible to advise specifics otherwise based on post.
