Not necessariy: May be due to posture while asleep affecting more peripheral nerves in arm, such as carpal tunnel issues, or ulnar at elbow. May be only a transient event, but contact your doctor if recurrent.

Possible: Would warrant further evaluation and possible nerve study (EMG) to see if the problem ifs from the neck or from the arm itself. It would be wise to check back with whoever performed the surgery to see if there is a problem with the fused segments or even the adjacent segments
