Laryngocele can be diagnosed by laryngoscopy which often demonstrate a smooth dilation at the level of the false cord, involving both the false cord and aryepiglottic fold. In case of pure external laryngocele, the edolaryngeal examination will be normal. CT of the neck with IV contrast may be helpful.
