Amlodopine & hydrochlorothiazide are both commonly prescribed to treat hypertension and are once a day medications. If your BP tends to be higher in the afternoon or evening I recommend taking them both in the morning. If your BP tends to be higher in the early morning, I'd take them both at night. HCTZ is a slower, longacting diuretic but it doesn't usually keep you up urinating all night.

You can take both at the same time in the morning so you will not miss the doses. If you want to take it separately, you should take Hctz (hydrochlorothiazide) in the morning and amlodipine in the evening. If your kidney function is normal you need to eat more fruits and foods high in potassium such as banana, orange, tomatoes, potatoes, etc. because you will lose potassium with Hctz.
