My doctor just recently prescribed me a new high blood pressure medicine, diltiazem, when i was speaking to his nurse i forgot to tell her that i had filled my prescription for viagra. i want to know if i can take those two medicines together.

Hypertension: In my opinion ,your treating doctor for hypertension MUST know about the use of medication such as Viagra,Cialis etc.Best to clear this with your doc as we dont know your history.Suggest that in future,you discuss both issues with 1 doc.Studies have shown that fragmented care ie you see different docs for different things can have undesirable outcomes.Best if 1 doc has your ENTIRE history

Yes: It is safe to take diltiazem and Viagra together. Neither medication affects the other.
