By Dentably website: "Lots of people mistakenly believe that baby teeth don’t have roots because they’re not present when the tooth falls out. The roots of primary teeth are so small that they get absorbed by the body. The roots have been completely reabsorbed by the time the tooth falls out."

For a baby tooth crown to fall out, the 3x longer root(s) has to resorb (dissolve e away). If the crown fallout leaving part of the root still intact withi8n thee bine, the root will gradually dissolve away (This is not true for permanent tooth roots. If the baby tooth was decayed and crown falls out, baby tooth root should be removed so as to not be a focus of infection. Have bur Dentist check.
