It is hard to give you an explanation without exam and viewing Xray/CT. What needs to be done will be decided after looking at them and a thoro exam. Pl cee a neurosurgeon.

Approach depends upon clinical signs and symptoms which you do not divulge. Generically, would eschew surgery and opt for conservative approach
