No: I would not do OMT on someone with a herniated cervical disk. You could cause more injury. Could you use hands on- to feel for tissue texture changes? Yes, Could you use hot or cold therapies? Yes I would not use manipulation on a known herniated cervical disk. There are different types of osteopathic manipulative therapies. Let your D.O. decide.
