Ask a psychologist to administer either the CARS-2 or GARS-3 to definitively diagnose autism. Without this your paediatrician is speculating. The sensitivity-specificity of an interview-judgment is 46% and a medical exam is 49% both of which are less than chance while a computerized psychological test is 97%.
