Maybe/not The timing of the shots does have some overlap in protection from one to the next. That said any form of birth control has breakthrough pregnancies occasionally. It is best to use a backup if your timing is not consistent.

There is a "built in" protection with "Depo injections", when providing them at 3 month intervals, exceeding any detriment conveyed to the effectiveness by missing same for only "three days". Pregnancy is always "possible", since progestin related birth control methods do not have 100% certainty.
