My husband..65.. has a tsh of 0.02 (test shows normal range is 0.40- 4.50) and mch 34.3 (test shows normal range is 27.0 - 33.0). are these worrisome? what does it mean? he is already taking synthroid. need advice?

If the low TSH is confirmed with repeat test, especially with a high free T4 level, Synthroid dose needs to be lowered. Hypothyroidism can cause high MCH but not in your husband's case. There are several conditions which can cause high MCV and MCH such as liver disease, low folic acid or vitamin B12, etc. If your husband has anemia (low Hb), folic acid and B12 levels need to be checked.
