A 66-year-old female asked:
Have hashimotos thyroid for 16 years. thyroid blood work just came back tsh 2.82 which is normal for me on 100 mcgs synthroid but free t4 was slightly elevated at 1.48 with range being .8-1.40. what could this mean?

Probably normal. If you take Biotin regularly it will mess up Thyroid tests. Discuss with your Drs there who know you and your hisotry. If you did not tell them you Biotin or multivits containing it do sol

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, the results you provided are not a cause for concern. Wish you good health!
