A urine test showing the presence of bacteria is the very definition of a UTI (urinary tract infection), so yes, it is good that you are being treated with Cefdinir. The most common gram-negative bacteria in UTIs is E. Coli, but other stool bacteria can cause them as well.

Your urine profile is classically consistent with a UTI, and the entire picture is consistent and appropriate. Be fully compliant and adherent with your treatment program, but get urine culture after completion to be sure.
