Your history of an infection could have possibly caused the sub clinical hyperthyroidism. I typically repeat the thyroid level 4-6 weeks later to verify. A thyroid physical exam should also be done. Also, if you have family history of breast/ovarian cancer or have concerns with breast lumps/bumps, you are in the age range to consider getting a mammogram to screen for breast cancer.

It is best to discuss your medication with your Psychiatrist who knows your medical history. If you are not confident in your Doctor please see another for a second opinion. Meds tend to work more effectively when you also have psychotherapy. Please see a Clinical Psychologist with expertise in multiple types of psychotherapy.
