My igg hsv-1 came back to 1.06, is this considered equivocal or a positive? the range says equivocal is .91-1.09, but the office notified me saying my results are positive and need to seek treatment. should i retest and when? is this a positive?

The typical normal range for HSV IgG is less than 0.9. Therefore anything over this can be considered positive. Valacyclovir (Valtrex) is available for treatment of positive HSV. Talk to your ordering Dr for follow up on this positive test and treatment.
