Right flank burning-type pain, travels to right side spine all the way up to right shoulder, sometimes up to jaw. no heartburn. attacks last a couple weeks then go away. can be gallbladder even if u/s normal?

Sludge in the gall bladder & certain gall stones may not be visualized on u,/s but can cause symptoms. I doubt your symptoms are gall bladder related. Flank discomfort may be caused by kidney pathology, musculoskeletal or nerve issues. I recommend consulting an orthopedic specialist or a neurologist for evaluation. I believe that feeling discomfort all the way up to shoulder & jaw is referred pain

Those symptoms are not typical for gallstone pain (biliary colic), especially the ultrasound did not detect gallstones.
