Worried about pancreatic cancer lately after having up left abdominal and back pain. gi says i'm too young to worry about it and gave me an abdominal ct that only showed mild mesenteric adenitis, that they aren't worried about.should i still worry?

Your age indeed makes pancreatic cancer extremely unlikely. I see no reason to doubt your doctors about this.

If you have immediate family members ever diagnosed with pancreatic cancer let your doc know, but otherwise unclear for why you picked a specific cancer to be worried about while there is no structural evidence for it in imaging.

You are at very low risk for pancreatic cancer at your age. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form.
