A member asked:

Had routine labs done and microscopic urine said: "squam epi/lpf: occasional (abnormal)". can you please tell me what this means? everything else related to urine sample said negative?

As written the words are gibberish. Squamous epithelium on a low power field is an occasional finding in a normal urine analysis. Why the word abnormal is placed in the statement is something you should clarify with whoever did it. It does not make sense in this context.

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, there is nothing in your report, "(abnormal): notwithstanding, that is a cause for concern. Wish you good health!
