A member asked:

I'm one month pregnant, my tsh is 4.5, i started taking levothyroxine yesterday, will the medication lower the tsh fast enough to supply the hormone to the baby?

The proper TSH is very important for your pregnancy and is recommended to be between0.2 and 2.5 in the first trimester. I recommend collaboration between your OB & a thyroidlogist or endocrinologist to achieve this level as soon as safely possible.
