A member asked:

My tsh level in my last blood test was 3.48 which means my thyroid level is low. i have never had a thyroid problem before but i am now in the early stages of pregnancy. what is the recommended daily dose of levothyroxine to correct my thyroid level?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not low: A TSH level of 3.48 is normal. Your thyroid is functioning normally. Treating yourself for perceived thyroid disorder is not a good idea. You should consult your doctor.
