My newborn was at 8.1 bilirubin at 28 hrs, 10.7 at 45 hrs. he was 41 wks gestation and healthy. breastfeeding and some formula added at 36 hrs - what is the course of action at this point? 3 pees on 2nd day, 1 poop first day. can we just monitor?

I don't consider the cited levels worrisome as the increase is not rapid. Monitoring with tests should be adequate for now.

My newborns bilirubin was 8.1 at 25 hrs. This was 95th percentile - what is the recommended course of action? Its below guidelines for phototherapy - should he be given formula to make him poop? He pooped a lot the first day but hasnt in 12hrs?
