My newborns bilirubin was 8.1 at 25 hrs. this was 95th percentile - what is the recommended course of action? its below guidelines for phototherapy - should he be given formula to make him poop? he pooped a lot the first day but hasnt in 12hrs?

Despite the existence of "breast milk jaundice," usually not harmful, breast milk if available would be the diet most likely to eliminate via the stool. It may also be helpful to sit in a sunny window with baby just in a diaper.
