Sure, by the doc who diagnosed your abscess, ideally your primary care doc, who will have access to your medical records. Sometimes abscesses need to be lanced and drained as antibiotics may not work if the abscess is walled in.

Agree that your abscess does require antibiotics, but this is a public medical education site, which does not diagnose, prescribe, manage therapy, or make referrals. Your regular doctor should provide appropriate medications and directions to handle your abscess.
