Very good evening doctors. i have an appointment with a urologist tomorrow. is it ok to have coffee with sugar before the appointment or could that show sugar in the urinalysis when they do that strip test for sugar, blood, protein?

Eat or drink what ever is your usual diet and go to the appointment ready to provide a urine sample on arrival. Should something show up that is not supposed to be in the urine that is what they are trying to discover. Don't worry. Best wishes

If you have diabetes or an inherited glucose reabsorbing from the urine problem sugar may show up in the urine. So tell Dr.
