Please clarify: I'm not sure what you are asking here. Some people do fine with a premolar and forward -only occlusion but others severely miss each lost molar. There is no hard and fast rule regarding how much occlusion is necessary for every individual.

Chew properly?: Ideally you would want 10 implants for 10 teeth. Ten teeth on 4 implants is already a great advantage. There are biomechanical & engineering principles that help dictate implant supported teeth limits if you want a long standing successful outcome. Compared to full dentures or an implant supported removable partial, all on 4 is still superior. Each case is unique using professional judgment.
