What kind of person is violent, threatens suicide, is ocd, rarely happy, contentious?

A person with personality disorder may have those symptoms which include obsession but not OCD.

I'm not a mental health professional but borderline personally disorder comes to mind here. Violence is not typical in BPD but can be seen if there are concomitant tendencies like substance abuse or antisocial behavior. A psychiatrist is better qualified to answer your question.
