In a 24 year old it is highly unlikely to be something that is serious. However, what is serious is that you smoke and that will eventually lead too health problems. Your symptoms are probably smoking related. If they persist for another 2 weeks, see you doctor. Get some help to try and quit smoking. That's the best medical advice any doctor can give to any patient.

Cough lasting more than 2 weeks warrants an evaluation by a doctor, preferably by lung specialist. It may be smoking making a lung infection worse, either way it is imperative that you get it checked out. Wish you good health!
