Dry cough: This may be a viral upper respiratory tract infection involving the trachea(windpipe). If your home is too dry, get a humidifier, drink liquids, and try an expectorant cough syrup to try to loosen secretions. See a physician if symptoms persist, or if fever, breathlessness,chest pain, wheezing develop.
