60 years of age, generally healthy, normal bmi, very mild htn only condition/rx. concern is an increase in hs-crp from 0.3 to 10.0, recent cardiac workup confirms no cardiac issues. aware hs-crp is nonspecific, wonder abt possible causes to check?

If the treating MD has explained results to you and chosen not to do anything it is best to follow his/her advice. Suggest repeat test in 6 months to see if it increases or goes down as you know it is non specific.

I appreciate the extra info and the recognition it is a very nonspecific test. It was good to explore cardiac causes as those can indeed elevate the levels. Autoimmune diseases can do it, as well as even mild infections. Diabetes can elevate it as can being sedentary or obese, but your BMI is reportedly normal. It can be hard to identify the cause without symptoms or signs. Good luck
