Pain is a very nonspecific symptom and frequently difficult to localize. If it occurs while reading and improves when you stop, it could be strain needing readers. If it is made worse by opening and closing your eye, it is likely the cornea. If it is not and is unaccompanied by any visual symptoms, it is not likely to be related to any serious eye issue. In that event, it could be a sinus issue
