Possible, but also remember that when the outer ear canal is infected, the condition is called Swimmer’s ear, which is different from a Middle ear infection (also a prospect). Some ear infections, such as Middle ear infections, need antibiotic treatment, but many can get better without antibiotics. If symptoms of a Middle ear infection that last for more than 2–3 days, see your Doctor.
