Hard to tell: A sore throat is generally associated with many illnesses. In order to have an ear infection folks generally have some associated cold symptoms first and maybe fever later. A sore throat is also associated with simple viral illnesses and asl Strep throat. If you do not get better in a few days seek attention. Dr Rogu
