Half life of regular Ativan is 12 hours and the level will be minimal after taking 0.5 mg 24 hours earlier so there will be insignificant interaction between alcohol and 0.5 mg dose.

Both alcohol and benzodiazepines are at high risk for habit forming and use of alcohol should be reduced in order to protect sleep. Talk to your doc about goals going forward and proper ways of managing stress. The combo benzos alcohol is unhealthy at this point.

No. Alcohol is a poison that never did anybody any good, ever, so stay away from it. It will destroy your brain cells, facilitate development of cancer in many organs, including breast, cause hepatitis, cirrhosis and pancreatitis etc. There is no safe level of alcohol intake. Quit while you are ahead.
