A member asked:

I am about to get vaccinated for covid the day after tomorrow.it's been 3 days i've noticed tenderness around my submandibular gland. no swelling of lymph nodes, just discomfort. if it's because of tooth infection, is it okay to still get vaccinated?

Ok to get vaccinated as long as you have a dentist appointment as like any other untreated infection, your tooth infection will progress if unaddressed.

Coronavirus vaccination is to prevent viral infection. Tenderness around submandibular gland can be from stone in duct or bacterial infection requiring treatment. Totally unrelated. Get the jab and see a Dentist, now.
