A member asked:

If someone has alkalosis and theres an increase in s.uric acid 7.4(normal range 3.5-7) in blood which is drawn from vein.for about a month..will excess s.uric acid be removed from the body after alkalosis is corrected?

Alkalosis and acidosis produce symptoms and are then treated appropriately. uric acid of 7.4 is not that high and may be rechecked and may normalize after your alkalosis is corrected. Do not get hung up on medical terms unless you have symptoms.

There is no correlation between serum uric acid (high or low or normal) with blood pH (alkalosis or acidosis or neutral).
